Last week, I came across a fabulous cookbook – Cox cookies and cake. It’s a great looking book and it caught my eye because of its unique cupcake designs. The book is actually from fashion designer Patrick Cox and features recipes from his cupcake range. Making the move from fashion to baking is obviously an interesting one so upon discovering that his cupcake store was just round the corner from the office I had to pay them a visit!
My niece is at the stage where she loves to help with everything. The washing, cleaning and, following in ‘Auntie Bee Bee’s’ footsteps, the cooking! So this afternoon we decided to make some chocolate chip cupcakes!
Ooo my first baking post! Can’t believe it has taken me so long. As you will learn in the near future I have become something of a family/friends designated cake maker so whenever there is a birthday/anniversary/whatever the occasion may be, it’s time for me to make cake!
And this week is one of those occasions. Not only am I busy making my niece’s 3rd birthday cake ready for the weekend, but a good friend at work is also leaving. So tonight I’ve been baking red velvet cupcakes 🙂
